This was one of the drawing projects that I had to use nature as an artist. I inspired by a thought, Sometimes unexpected outcomes occur and it changes the whole ordinary day. I did this project into series pieces by choosing several places where I used to go in my daily life through school life: Ataloa(art studio), Lowman(concert hall), Korone Library(school library), and Spruce(dorm). The common thing about those places is they are the places where people have become productive as artists, and for me as well. I set the drawings on the entrance in each area and gave instructions on the half of the series and without for the others. As time passed, the drawing changed through the action of unexpected weather and people’s footsteps. The charcoal background defines the fundamental environment, sky and ground, in order to show how nature can affect the whole environment. In the other part of the drawing, the rough words in different languages refer to the inspiration for each place and the diverse cultural community I part of. As an experiment, I used two kinds of paper: Rice and Canson paper, to see how they change and transfer the weather with a difference in absorption. Overall, this project reflects how unexpected events can affect daily life with a stroke of people’s interaction.
